From nearly the inception of the firm, we have been the defense counsel of choice for customers insured by Farm Bureau Insurance Company of Michigan who enjoy coverage from that company under the advertising injury and personal injury coverages. We were among the earliest to specialize in these types of cases, which dovetail closely with our abilities in the business, real estate and commercial law disciplines.
Typical claims which fall under these coverages include defamation, trademark infringement, invasion of privacy, and wrongful termination of employment (when defamation is alleged). We have defended high-tech firms, doctors, and developers, among others, in such cases.
Our successful defense of clients insured by Farm Bureau is reported on line in two unpublished cases, Tyler v Roesner, et al., COA Case No. 286918, and Hutchings v Roesner, COA Case No. 287401. A brief description of the cases and defense are provided below at the first link. The Court of Appeals case opinion can be found on line at the second link.
